This lighthouse was
built after the first Point Jiguero Lighthouse was damaged by an
earthquake in 1918. The earthquake also caused a tidal wave that destroyed the first Point
Borinquen Lighthouse. This lighthouse is well kept, in a park,
a gift shop and places to picnic and wander around. A very
nice place to visit.
