We went to this
lighthouse with Bruce and Cheryl Roberts,
lighthouse friends Lamar & Kim Bevil, and another friend of lighthouses, Ben
Taylor, who is
trying to save this lighthouse and Pass Manchac Lighthouse in
Louisiana. This lighthouse is at the mouth of the Pearl
River. It can be viewed (barely) from the bridge over the
river, but the only way to get close is by boat.
We were able to bring the boat right up to this
lighthouse and go inside. At that time, it was in very bad
shape, but possibly still redeemable.
