Note the red stripe boards on the Outer Ranges.  The stripes face the water and the ships line them up to make sure they are in the channel.
The top one, Summerside Back Range presently lines up with a skeleton tower on the wharf. It once lined up with
the Summerside Front Range that many years ago was moved and was incorporated in a private dwelling.
