The
Murray Harbour Front Range Light
was swept off it's foundation by the late
Dec. 2010 storm. There has been
work in earlier years to save it as
you can see by the rocks, etc. |

I don't know where this photo
came from but it
was sent to me after the storm.
Could be the Coast Guard took the photo,
as this is where the lighthouse ended up
after the Coast Guard moved it. They do not
plan on putting it back, but replacing it with
something simpler, sturdier. (and it probably
won't look like a lighthouse) |
Again: range lights.
each has a red stripe. The
mariner lines up the line on the
front range with the stripe on the
back range. Then he knows
he is in the right channel. |
