I had hoped to get close to this
lighthouse in Aug. 2010 for better photos.
The trip didn't work out and I shot it from land, from Cabot park.
Thanks to my trusty little Canon PowerShot SX10IS
with its terrific zoom,
I got some passable shots, considering the wind was blowing so hard I
could hardly
stand up and had to brace myself and my camera against a fence post.

Part of our group hiked to a viewpoint
to get a longshot of this light. I didn't
feel able to hike that far. (but wish I had).
This lighthouse is on Billhook Island,
best seen from this viewpoint in
Cabot Park.
I hope when I go back, I can get a
bit closer.
This is my shot of the same. (2009) If I
hadn't
taken this shot, I could not have said:
"I photographed every lighthouse on
Prince Edward Island."

As you can see this one above is
the light we photographed from afar.
The one to the left looks like it is possibly
the current light.
This one is older than the above
but I have no idea when it was taken.
The number on the photo says
1067 and that might be the date.
