There have been 4 earlier lighthouse
here, not counting the modern beacon:
two earlier wooden ones, a red brick
lighthouse, and one that looked much
like the Coney Island light.

Did you ever say to yourself:
"Duh! Why did I do (or not do) that?"
There is a modern metal tower light
at Throgs Neck that replaced the
original lighthouse.  We were so
concentrating on the old keepers house
that we didn't shoot the modern tower.
