Burkhaven Lighthouse
Lake Sunapee, New Hampshire
The first time we went to Lake Sunapee, we photographed Loon Island & Herrick Cove.  A fisherman took us out.  Then when we started to look for Burkhaven, we couldn't find it.  Finally we found only the platform and a man was on it.  He said the lighthouse had been removed to repair the platform.  So a year or so later, we returned to Lake Sunapee hoping to find Burkhaven Lighthouse up and running.  Another sport boater took us out, and there it was, bright and shiny.
