This lighthouse is
on Monomoy Island near Chatham.
It is not easy to get to and is not always permissible.
We got a fellow at a marina to take us out. He took us out
and let us wade ashore.
I think it was in Spring, but early and it was chilly and rainy.
He said he would be back
in two hours to get us, because it would take a while for us to
hike to the lighthouse
and back to the beach. Over FOUR hours he came back, we
were soaked to the skin
and chilled to the bone. Neither one of us could get warm
at all until we had hot
showers at our motel in Provincetown.
