There have been
several sets of lighthouses at Chatham that were replaced or
moved as the cliff eroded. This lighthouse is the
remaining twin in the last pair.
It's mate was moved to Nauset and became the current Nauset
Beach light.
It too replaced several sets of lighthouses.
