This is what the lighthouse looked
like the first time we saw it.
It was in terrible condition and
looked like it was not long for
this world.

Before the fire, we had heard that
it was going to be restored.
We were there not long after the
fire.  It wasn't still smouldering as
we were able to go inside.

We had heard that lightning
struck the lantern room.

This may well be all that is left of the
Mispillion River Lighthouse.
As far as we know, the rest of it
was demolished.

We just heard from someone that
part of the lighthouse has been restored
and survives.
